Energy Equipment Retailer Applications
MAISY products and service support energy equipment retailers in evaluating
and segmenting markets, identifying target segments and developing marketing
contact information.
In addition to providing the customer information and marketing analysis
described below, Jackson Associates also conducts custom market analysis
in support of specific marketing objectives.
Marketing strategy and marketing program development also require detailed
customer information. Market segmentation, target marketing, customer scoring
and other marketing activities benefit from the greatest amount of customer
information available.
The following MAISY Products and Services are most relevant for supporting
these needs
For Distributed Resource Manufacturers
DG Marketplace provides potential
DG customers with estimates of energy bill savings available with engines,
microturbines, turbines and fuel cell systems customized specifically
for each site.
Marketing to utilities.
DG systems can contribute to reduced T&D expansion costs, reduced emissions,
increased reliability and power quality, and other utility benefits. When
properly integrated in utility system planning, DG also increases utility
system revenues.
By presenting utility- and equipment-specific DG business strategies designed
to benefit both customers and utility shareholders, Jackson Associates assists
DG manufacturers and retailers in their efforts to market DG systems directly
to utilities through (1) direct utility sales and/or (2) sales to individual
customers in partnership with utilities.
For clients who want to perform
analysis inhouse, the DG Marketplace
is the easiest-to-use distributed energy resource assessment, market analysis
and marketing tool available, both for individual project evaluations
and market analysis. The Profiler applies:
-
8,760 hourly electric and thermal loads from the widely-used MAISY Utility
Service Area Customer Databases,
-
current utility rate tariffs and
-
distributed resource technology characteristics
to assess DG applications for any user-selected customer characteristics
or market segments. Results are immediately presented in each online session.
Basic Utility Customer Database Products
MAISY utility customer database information is available in two formats:
-
Full Utility Customer Databases include all customer information with standard
MAISY Database access software
-
Custom Database Extractions provide subsets of the databases (e.g., all data
for offices) and/or analysis results based on the database information (e.g.,
average hourly loads for convenience stores in New York City).
Full database applications are typically selected by clients who undertake
a range of analysis with in-house efforts while Custom Database Extractions
are appropriate for applications which focus on specific issues or customer
segments .
MAISY Utility Customer Databases have been developed from information
on more than one million individual utility customers throughout the US and
Canada and provide a representative sample of customers for individual
states, regions and utility service areas.
