Standard MAISY Database Software

Jackson Associates received a patent on the MAISY Database software in 1999. The software provides access to Utility Customer Database information with a data exploration process that answers specific marketing questions with mouse-clicks on charts . Users can navigate through the state-level energy marketing and hourly load databases, exploring customer characteristics and relationships. Information can be viewed in chart or table form at any level of aggregation ranging from an individual customer to all customers in a state or states. MAISY provides detailed reports and exports data to other software systems. The software runs from desktop or network systems. A sample screen is shown below.

Day Type/Month Hourly Load Database Information

Day type/month hourly load data can also be accessed and evaluated with the standard MAISY database access software.

Standard MAISY database access software presents hourly load charts as part of user navigation of the Energy Marketing databases. Users apply mouse-clicks on charts displaying customer characteristics to drill down to the market segment or customer type of interest; hourly load charts reflect hourly loads associated with user-selected customers. The following MAISY chart shows July weekday hourly loads for California offices in the 50-100k square feet category.

Standard MAISY software also provides Excel worksheet access to hourly load data as illustrated below

Excel's Chart Wizard can be used to visually evaluate individual customer load profiles. Here, January kW week-day loads are shown for 10 customers.

MAISY software has been recognized and licensed by users outside the energy industry because of its easy-to-use intuitive user interface. For instance, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), an agency within the Defense Department licensed MAISY software to provide advanced information analysis capabilities.

Day Type/Month Hourly Load Database Information

MAISY 8,760 hourly loads corresponding to any of the day type/month profiles are provided in easy to access Excel files and csv files designed for importing into Excel Workbooks and other analysis software.
