GraphSheet Web Databases

Customer Information Analysis - A spreadsheet data base of 700 electric utility customers illustrates how easily GraphSheet converts customer data into market intelligence revealing new insights on customer characteristics, sales and profits. GraphSheet provides instant access to all information in the database. If conducted with traditional DS or OLAP software, this kind of application would have required setup by technical staff in IS departments with limited, prespecified "drill-down hot spots."

The customer information database may be downloaded as a csv (comma-delimited text) file. To access the data with GraphSheet, download the csv file, read it into a spreadsheet program (Excel, Lotus 123 or Quatro Pro), click-and-drag across the entire data table including the labels at the top of the table, select the Edit/Copy menu command, open GraphSheet and select the Graphsheet Edit/Paste command and the GraphSheet session immediately begins.

Survey of Political and Social Attitudes - The newest database in our collection is a survey of political attitudes of a sample of 551 Americans. This database represents a subset of the National Election Studies survey conducted by the University of Michigan in the Fall of 1997. While the survey was conducted before the Lewinsky scandal broke, the opinions expressed in the survey explain much of the public's reaction to recent events.
